Opened in 1963, the Miyuki Hohaisho prayer area has a fude-zuka, a ritual burial site for worn-out calligraphy brushes, used by master painter Yokoyama Taikan. It is surrounded by black bamboo trees.

This mountain ridge was named Miyukibe in the Heian era, and was an important route for visiting Inariyama.
